Oasis to make way for new project

One of Dubai's oldest hotels is to close at the end of this month ahead of its demolition to make way for a new mixed-use project. Oasis Beach Hotel, which has been in business for 14 years, will be razed to make way for a new multi-storey structure, which will be completed by 2010, according to real estate developers Al Fattan Properties. Further details of the new projects have not been released.
